Kirsten Berg is a recent graduate from Boston University where she studied journalism, politics and international affairs. While at Boston University, she also interned with organizations such as PBS’s public affairs documentary series FRONTLINE and studied abroad in Beirut, Lebanon.
 
Alexandria Burris Alexandria Burris is a print and multimedia graduate student at Emerson College in Boston. Originally from Louisiana, she spent two years working as a general assignment reporter at the Opelousas Daily World and the Lafayette Daily Advertiser. Alexandria will graduate from Emerson in December 2011.
 
 
 
 
 
 
John Ferguson is a 2009 graduate of the University of New Hampshire and graduate student at Boston University. A 2009 Poynter Institute College Fellow, he joined NECIR as a researcher and reporter in March 2011. He currently works as a copy editor at the Eagle Tribune in North Andover, MA.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Matt Porter Sarah Kuranda is a junior majoring in print journalism at Boston University. She is also minoring in business administration and international relations. She joined NECIR in July of 2011 and has works for NECIR developing their website, social media and multimedia content.
